Diospyros virginiana

Persimmon trees are an interesting native tree that have a multitude of benefits and uses. They produce a sweet, soft, orange fruit in the fall that can be eaten right off the tree, or used in jams, pies, syrups, etc. The wood is extremely hard and is commonly used in golf clubs, billiard cues and show heels. Fruit is known to stay on the tree well into winter. Native to the northeast US. Arrives to you in a 2 gallon pot, about 3-4’ tall, as shown in photo 3. **PLEASE NOTE: All native shrubs and trees are 100% naturally field grown using minimal to no pesticides and are responsibly raised. Because of this, some items may show spotting or browning, which is natural for these sized trees during this time of year. All native trees and shrubs are guaranteed by us through spring of 2020.
